Traffic Stop on Richmond Highway Leads to Drug Arrest

Sergeant E. E. West conducted a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane on Richmond Highway near Telegraph Road.

It was determined that the female driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license. Deputies conducted a K-9 free air scan, which resulted in a positive alert for narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed narcotics paraphernalia. During a search of the passenger, a glass smoking device containing residue of a controlled substance was located.

The driver, Allison Bratton, 29, of Stafford, was released on a summons for driving on a suspended license. The passenger, Jedadiah Good, 29, of Stafford, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
