A stop sign violation on Garrisonville Road escalated into a confrontation requiring OC spray. Deputy E.L. Shelton stopped a Toyota whose driver refused commands and appeared intoxicated. After deploying spray to subdue the driver, deputies found a green leafy substance in the vehicle. The driver was charged with DUI, obstruction of justice, failure to obey a stop sign, and refusal. He is being held on a $2,500 secured bond.
