Deputy E. L. Jones responded to a disturbance involving an uncooperative passenger aboard a train at the Brooke Road Commuter Lot. Train personnel reported the passenger did not have a valid ticket and refused to exit the train. After continued resistance, the suspect struck Deputy Jones in the leg while being removed.
The individual, identified as Anthony Barbour, 34, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with felony assault on law enforcement, obstruction of justice, and trespassing. He is currently being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a secured bond.
