Two Arrested After Disturbance at Commuter Lot

Deputy Jett and Deputy Frye responded to a disturbance involving intoxicated individuals at a commuter lot.

While speaking with one intoxicated person sitting in a parked vehicle, another individual began shouting aggressively at others nearby. The suspect also reached toward their waistband, prompting deputies to place them under arrest.

The suspect, identified as Michael Burnett, 20, of Palmyra, displayed signs of intoxication including glossy eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of alcohol. Burnett was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Deputies also encountered a second intoxicated individual who was determined to be under the legal drinking age. Clayton Morris, 18, of Cumberland, was charged with public intoxication and also held until sober.
