Two Charged After Grocery Theft at Publix on Publix Way

Deputy Vaughn responded to a larceny report at the Publix grocery store after two suspects reportedly left the store with a cart full of groceries without paying.

Surveillance footage showed the suspects bagging items without scanning them at the register before leaving the store. Investigators were able to identify the suspects’ vehicle through the license plate captured on camera.

Deputies later located the suspects at a residence tied to the vehicle registration. Officers found individuals attempting to hide in the basement, including two suspects matching the descriptions from the store footage.

The suspects were identified as Jermaine Jackson, 53, of Stafford, and Eboni Wallace, 37, of Stafford. Deputies recovered stolen merchandise from Publix as well as additional items believed to have been taken from a nearby Target store.

Both suspects were charged with petit larceny and concealment of merchandise and were released on an unsecured bond.
