Deputies responded to an altercation at the Red Roof Inn following a dispute during a vehicle repossession. The vehicle owner, identified as Michael Devin Anderson, 31, of Charlottesville, reportedly attempted to interfere with the repossession and initiated a physical confrontation. Deputy Daigle determined Anderson to be the primary aggressor, and he was arrested for assault and battery. Anderson was later released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
