Deputies were alerted to a strange sight outside the Sleep Inn Motel when they noticed a woman asleep with her head hanging out of a running vehicle. Deputy W.E. Trainor, responding to an unrelated matter nearby, stepped in to assess the situation. After safely turning off the vehicle, deputies discovered signs of intoxication. The woman admitted to drinking a mixed drink and a shot. She was arrested for driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until she sobered up.
