An unusual late-night visitor led to the arrest of an intoxicated man in Stafford. According to police, a resident called 911 after an unknown male knocked on her door asking for a ride to Wawa.
Deputies arrived and found the suspect holding a bong, which he claimed was used to smoke “oregano.” Officers, unconvinced by the suspect’s claim, determined that he was intoxicated and a danger to himself.
The suspect was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was held until he sobered up.
